For the eleventh year, The Bad Pants Open golf tournament has brought out the community’s most stylish golfers with the biggest hearts. This year, because of your enthusiasm, commitment and generosity, The Bad Pants Open raised approximately $210,000 for Texas Children’s Newborn Center^®. Funds raised through the 2008 Bad Pants Open will benefit the Newborn Center’s Developmental Care program, led by LuAnn Papile, M.D., as well as its nursing education programs. Thank you to all our sponsors and volunteers for helping to make The Bad Pants Open a success once again.

The largest neonatal intensive care unit of its kind in the nation, the Newborn Center provides essential care for nearly 2,900 critically ill infants each year, many of whom are born at nearby Houston-area hospitals or transferred from local, state, national and even international facilities. These tiny patients often enter life prematurely or face extraordinary physical challenges, and Texas Children’s depends on the generosity of friends and community organizations like you to help advance the research and education that goes into the expert, tender care these infants receive.
